Our company operates internationally, managing manufacturing projects. We are seeking a Head of Service Station Network Development who will be responsible for the strategic development and quality assurance of operations within our expanding network in Uganda.
The ideal candidate should have proven skills in establishing and managing service stations, implementing efficient logistics and procurement processes, as well as in continuous improvement using best industry practices.
Responsibilities:
1. Network Development:
- expand the service station network, including opening new locations;
- collaborate with the construction department for the design, construction, and repair of installation centers and service stations (in compliance with all regulatory requirements);
- develop and implement strategic plans to optimize network operations and achieve business objectives.
2. Operational Efficiency:
- set up and manage effective logistics systems, including inventory control and ordering processes for all service centers;
- ensure strict adherence to corporate standards and procedures at all operational stages of the network;
- implement and maintain global industry standards such as 5S, Lean, and Kaizen for continuous improvement;
- plan and manage the workload of all service centers, utilizing systems to optimize efficiency.
3. Procurement and Financial Management:
- organize and oversee the procurement process for all stations, ensuring high profitability and timely delivery;
- manage accounting and reporting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards;
- oversee all financial processes, including budget management and financial reporting.
4. ERP and Documentation:
- possess in-depth knowledge of ERP systems, including their implementation and management;
- ensure the accuracy and currency of all related documentation, including regulatory and accompanying documents.
5. Compliance and Reporting:
- monitor compliance with all regulatory standards and internal company policies across all operations of the network;
- prepare and present detailed reports on network operations, procurement, and financial activities.
Qualifications:
- experience in developing and managing service stations;
- deep knowledge of logistics, procurement, and inventory management;
- knowledge of ERP systems and their implementation;
- experience in applying and maintaining industrial standards such as 5S, Lean, and Kaizen;
- excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills;
- strong financial skills and budgeting experience;
- ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams;
- preferred experience in construction or repair project management;
- proven track record of building systems from scratch;
- a high level of English proficiency is required;
