Job Description:
As a Key Account/Customer Development/Management Sr. Manager at Mars, you would be responsible for the creation and leading the development and execution of key account strategy for our Tier 1 customer Magnum across our MW and PN variety of products. This position will create, implement, and run short- and long-term strategic business plans to accelerate customer, category, and Mars MW and PN business growth.
Using different negotiation techniques, you will be able to drive profitable growth of the Mars business and customer business, as well as build long-term partnerships through joint business planning and account development planning for current and future business growth.
What are we looking for?
- 5 years of CPG account management or marketing experience within a retail setting.
- You’ll also need to hold a Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred.
- You’ll need a valid driver’s license and clean driving record with ability to drive 50% of the time.
- Previous experience working with syndicated data sources: IRI, Nielsen, RetailLink, etc.
- Experience in value channel, key account management, category management, shopper insights, or broker management within CPG is strongly preferred.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Delivering Operating Plans: You’ll develop 3-year customer business plans inclusive of business trends, latest innovation, base assumptions, market share, NSV, operating profit, and ROI on Trade insights.
- Developing Strategies: You’ll also establish sales strategies across [Insert Customer Name] local retail sites in partnership with Mars sales teams to manage product distribution, merchandising, and secure incremental shelf space, product promotional placement, and account profitability using a broad range of data sources.
- Customer / Broker Relationship Management: You’ll liaise across entities, broker financial parties, and Mars teams to streamline go-to-customer strategies, forecast accuracy, order management/fulfillment, S&OP planning, and customer scorecard delivery.
- Innovation: Translate customer vision into winning propositions and develop innovation pipelines within Mars’s internal Marketing and Customer Marketing teams.
