Due to active growth and ambitious plans, we are now looking for a DevOps Engineer to strengthen our team. Our HQ is in Malta, but this is a fully remote position at the beginning as our team is decentralized.

Who you are

As a DevOps Engineer at TrueLab Games Studios, you are a detail-oriented and responsible professional, ensuring infrastructure stability, CI/CD automation, and security. You work closely with developers and testers to streamline operations and optimize deployments. Your problem-solving mindset helps you quickly identify and resolve incidents while automating routine tasks. Strong communication skills allow you to effectively explain technical solutions to different audiences. Self-driven and adaptable, you continuously seek improvements and embrace evolving technologies.

What you do

General Responsibilities:

• Deploy and manage AWS EKS clusters, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability;
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Pipelines to automate application deployments;
• Containerize applications using Docker and Kubernetes, optimizing resource allocation;
• Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform;
• Monitor and optimize cloud resources for cost-effectiveness and performance using AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana;
• Automate system administration tasks using Bash, Python, or Ansible;
• Implement security best practices for cloud environments, networking, and access control;
• Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure and processes;
• Troubleshoot production issues, ensuring system reliability and uptime.

What you know

• Strong Linux administration skills (Ubuntu, CentOS, or Amazon Linux);
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, Route 53;
• Experience with Kubernetes (EKS, Helm, ArgoCD);
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools, especially Bitbucket Pipelines (or experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD);
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) expertise - Terraform;
• Containerization and orchestration experience - Docker, Kubernetes;
• Monitoring and logging - Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK, CloudWatch;
• Scripting and automation skills - Bash, Python, Ansible;
• Understanding of networking and security principles - VPCs, VPNs, firewalls, IAM roles, TLS, and security groups;
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
