POSITION PURPOSE
Implement a successful solicitation strategy to all market segments in order to meet and/or exceed revenue goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals.
- Direct and manage all corporate sales activities to maximize revenue potential.
- Participate in daily RevMax meetings, sales strategy meetings, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales related meetings as required.
- Work with other departments within the hotel to provide quality service to customers.
- Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings.
- Maintain knowledge of market, competition and customers.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel:
- Professionally represent the hotel at all industry/community functions.
- Assist with reports and/or competition data collection.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English and Russian
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must possess advanced computer skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate in a friendly and positive manner with internal and external constituents.
- Ability to communicate customer needs and resolve complaints.
- Sales abilities and skills in both oral and written form.
- Ability to establish and master goals.
- Ability to identify and develop new accounts and markets.
- Ability to make independent judgments and function with minimal or no supervision.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education:
- Bachelor degree required, additional education in sales and marketing fields preferred.
Experience:
- Extensive experience in Hotel industry is required.
Grooming:
- All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Starwood standards.
