Andersen is hiring an Android Developer for a banking project with a major bank in the region. The role involves contributing to digital banking initiatives, enhancing mobile app features for lending, investments, and insurance within agile development teams.

The customer is one of the leading banks in the South Caucasus region in terms of its assets, customer base, and international operational portfolio. The bank provides a wide range of products including consumer loans, debit and credit cards, investment opportunities, and mortgage loans. It has 74 branches and 10 sub-branches across various regions of Azerbaijan.

The project is part of a large-scale digital banking initiative, where Andersen developers contribute to multiple agile teams enhancing different areas of the bank's mobile ecosystem. These include improving the core mobile app experience, enabling investment functionality such as trading the bank’s shares, developing a lending solution for small businesses, and adding insurance contract features directly within the app.

Responsibilities:

  • Architecting, building, and maintaining excellent Android applications using Kotlin/Java.
  • Working closely with product managers, designers, and developers in an agile-tribe model.
  • Implementing pixel-perfect UIs.
  • Participating in code and architecture reviews.
  • Experimenting with new technologies to optimize current processes and tasks.

Must-haves:

  • Experience as an Android Developer for 5+ years.
  • Strong knowledge of Clean and Modular Architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of modern architectural patterns (MVVM, MVP).
  • Strong knowledge of design Patterns (Singleton, Factory, Builder, Observer, State etc.).
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs integration.
  • Familiarity with Principles like SOLID, DRY, KISS, YAGNI.
  • Experience with Unidirectional Data Flow Structure (UDF).
  • Proficiency in using Android Libraries and SDKs (Retrofit, Dagger/Hilt, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with Android Compose.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working on legacy projects with strong skills in refactoring.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Level of English – from Intermediate and above.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience with AI.
  • BSc/MSc in Computer Science or related field.
  • Prior experience in the banking industry.
  • Extensive experience in Kotlin and Java.
