Central Asian University is seeking an attentive, responsive, and responsible Student Support Officer to join our Academic Affairs team. The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting students with a wide range of academic and organizational matters.

This position requires strong communication skills, a sense of responsibility, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic university environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and process student requests; provide advice and guidance on academic and administrative matters.

  • Collect and manage student applications, track their processing status, and communicate outcomes both in writing and via email.

  • Maintain active communication with students by phone and email.

  • Foster a welcoming, professional, and student-friendly atmosphere in the office.

  • Collaborate with other university departments to ensure timely resolution of student requests.

  • Participate in departmental trainings and internal meetings related to student and staff support.

Requirements

Education:

  • Higher education degree.

Experience:

  • Prior experience working with people or in customer service is preferred (including internships, administrative roles, or experience in higher education institutions).

Hard Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Familiarity with MS Outlook or similar systems (e.g., IBM Lotus Notes).

  • Excellent command of English (fluency).

  • Proficiency in Uzbek and Russian at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.

  • Strong communication and customer service orientation.

  • Team player with a professional and respectful attitude.

  • Attention to detail, punctuality, and a positive mindset.
