Job summary:

The Flight Safety Inspector ensures the safety and compliance of flight operations at the airport. This role involves monitoring and enforcing adherence to aviation safety regulations, conducting inspections, investigations of incidents and accidents, and improving safety measures to ensure a secure operational environment for all aviation stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Сonduct annual and ad-hoc inspection and audit programs covering all relevant operational and technical areas
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and investigations in line with ICAO, national regulations, and internal procedures
  • Identify and record non-conformities, unsafe practices, and breaches of standards
  • Issue formal recommendations for corrective and preventive actions to the departments responsible
  • Report inspection and audit outcomes to the flight safety department for further analyses
  • Ensure consistency of inspection methodologies, checklists, reporting formats

Qualifications Requirements:

  • Higher or specialized secondary aviation (technical) education, with training in airport operations
  • Minimum 5 years of flight operations experience or
    Minimum 5 years of work in one or more airport operational units (e.g., Engineering and Technical Services, Aerodrome Service, Airport Rescue and Firefighting, Fuel Services) or in any other civil aviation organization whose activities affect or are related to flight safety
  • Proven experience and appropriate qualification in the investigation of aviation occurrences (accidents and incidents) and conducting audits and inspections related to flight safety and quality
  • Knowledge of Safety Management System (SMS)
  • Computer literacy
