Dear candidates! Kazakh inbound tour operator is looking for a tourism manager (a specialist) who will work with tourists (B2C) and travel agents (B2B). We intend to hire a freelancer ONLY who has a proper background (in any field), a sense of humour, is smart, sharp, able to work under stress, etc. We prefer to work with a person who wants a long term cooperation. We do NOT want to work with those who are seeking a short term employment. We are okay to offer our company as a platform for cooperation. We are okay with students as long as they are flexible and have a drive to learn and earn!!!

Job description:

  • to process inquiries from foreign tourists (B2C) and foreign agents (B2B)
  • to make/calculate/support tours in Almaty and Almaty province and KZ
  • to book suppliers such as hotels, restaurants, transport, guides, etc.
  • to process data on Google Drive, Excel
  • to make cold calls sometimes (please, do not be afraid!)
  • to make presentations on PowerPoint, Word sometimes
  • to process payments, visas

Terms:

  • English is the main language of communication
  • work from home but not 100% online
  • flexible schedule (1-4 hours per day)
  • possibility/necessity to divide the workload, i.e. 1-2 hours in the morning, 1-2 hours in the afternoon, 1-2 hours in the evening, etc.
  • despite flexible schedule, sometimes you need to do certain tasks with strict deadlines, e.g. between 14-00 and 18-00, till 18-00 on Friday, etc.
  • possibility to work more for additional payment, i.e. you can work 5-7 hours per day if you wish and if tourist traffic is good
  • offline meetings 1-2 times per week
  • frequent training and quality testing
  • be ready for urgent calls, inquiries
  • overnight (түнейтiн/c ночевкой) and single day business trips to national parks, mountains, lakes, resorts, hotels, restaurants, etc.

  • in the beginning, before you start working, training is offline and face-to-face in Almaty: 1-2-3 hours per day for 2-3 weeks

You need to have:

  • a smartphone with whatsapp
  • a laptop

Requirements:

  • drive to learn new stuff and meet new people
  • a sense of humour, soft skills
  • Kazakh - intermediate (MUST)
  • Russian - intermediate (prefereable)
  • English - upper-intermediate (MUST), other popular languages are an advantage
  • good knowledge of Google Drive, Excel, Word
  • work experience (any field, or none), preferably in sales, marketing

NOTE: if you work 9 to 6, Monday to Friday, please do NOT apply! You canNOT work in the evening only, and/or at weekend only. It is a proper part time job - you need to be available on a daily basis.

Here we tried to share as much info as possible. You can ask questions during an interview. First, there is a phone call, then Zoom video call, then offline face to face. As such, we can conduct interviews at 20-00, 21-00, i.e. in the evening.
