Position Overview

Premier Trucking Group Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and performance-driven Planning Department Specialist to support dedicated lane operations and broker relationship management. This role focuses on securing and maintaining dedicated freight lanes, ensuring consistent performance, and strengthening partnerships with freight brokers to support stable fleet utilization and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Book and secure dedicated freight lanes in alignment with fleet capacity and company targets

• Maintain lane performance, coverage consistency, and service reliability

• Monitor lane KPIs and proactively resolve coverage or service gaps

• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with freight brokers

• Negotiate lane terms, rates, and service expectations when required

• Coordinate with dispatch and operations teams to ensure lane execution

• Track and report lane performance metrics and improvement opportunities

• Identify new dedicated lane opportunities to expand planning portfolio

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field)

• Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics planning, brokerage, dispatch, or lane management

• Proven experience working with freight brokers or dedicated lanes

Skills

• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills

• Analytical thinking and performance tracking ability

• High attention to detail and reliability

• Ability to work night shift aligned with U.S. logistics operations

• Strong communication skills in English (logistics terminology proficiency preferred)
